Arkema announced a € 50/Tprice increase for its Evatane® EVA range (High Content Ethylene Vinyl Acetate copolymers) at the end of May. Effective July 1st, Arkema will up this increase from € 50/T to € 80/T.

This further adjustment has become necessary to offset the latest rises in the cost of raw materials, in particular ethylene. Raw material costs have been increasing steadily in recent months, while the EVA market has experienced price erosion.

Marketed under the tradenames Evatane®, Lotryl®, Lotader® and Orevac®, Arkema’s Functional Polyolefins are used in highly diverse industrial applications, including hotmelt glues, cables, multilayer packaging film, technical polymer modification, solar panels, oilfield additives, bitumen and ink.
