Price increase for the Functional Polyolefins

Arkema announces a €130/T price increase for its full range of Functional Polyolefins in Europe, effective January 1st 2008: Evatane® (High Content Ethylene Vinyl Acetate copolymers), Lotryl® (Ethylene-Acrylates Copolymers), Lotader® (Ethylene-Acrylates Terpolymers) and Orevac® (Grafted Polyolefins).

Some price increases will be also implemented in the rest of the world.These price increases are indispensable to face the increasing production costs, essentially linked to raw material, energy and transport, and in spite of sustained efforts to reduce structural costs.

Marketed under the tradenames Evatane®, Lotryl®, Lotader® and Orevac® Arkema’s Functional Polyolefins are used in a wide range of industrial applications such as heat sealing, cable sheathing, multilayer packaging films, technical polymers modification, solar panels, oil additives, bitumen and  inks.
