Procurement

 

Arkema’s manufacturing operations are highly dependent on the quality of our purchases—for example, feedstock and energy, the prices of which fluctuate. Buyers must be creative, quick to react and proactive.The challenge of procurement is to secure the best terms and conditions for purchasing goods and services, while forging partnerships with the suppliers and service providers selected.

 

 In addition, procurement teams aim to optimize policies at our plants.

 

Inspection/Maintenance

 

The goal of preventive and corrective maintenance at Arkema is to optimize the performance and safety of production installations. In direct contact with day-to-day operations management, Inspection/Maintenance encompasses everything from general responsibility to supervising maintenance staff on the front line.

 

Inspection also helps with the design and manufacture of pressure equipment and the implementation of policies to increase the reliability of the production base, by analyzing feedback and experience.

 

Lastly, maintenance design and new construction teams are involved in the design and upgrading of installations.

 

Supply Chain

 

Arkema continues to check production quality right up to the time of delivery to end customers. Our supply chain specialists manage a global flow of goods and innovate through the use of a broader, more efficient range of transportation options.

 

A basic mission of supply chain is to manage and supervise teams providing general supply chain support. The two main goals are to optimize every step in the supply chain and perform all supply chain design.

 

Installation and warehouse operations supervisors perform the very specialized task of managing storage yards, with the same concern for efficiency.

 

Procurement resource managers oversee inventory use and management, working with customs.

 

Transportation oversees the planning, delivery by air, sea or ground, and management of equipment needed by Arkema for both ordinary and unusual operations.
