Co-ops

If you’re looking for exciting opportunities to work abroad, then our Volunteers for International Experience (V.I.E.) co-op program is for you.

With a global reach and reputation, Arkema is present in over 40 countries and has 120 locations and 90 production plants in Europe, North America and Asia. We regularly bolster our local teams by recruiting large numbers of young graduates from European Union countries, through the V.I.E co-op program.

If you’d like to:

  • Gain initial job experience that will expand your horizons
  • Occupy a position of responsibility in another country
  • Work with professionals from another culture
  • Learn different processes

And are:

  • Aged 18 to 28
  • A French national or a citizen of a European Economic Area member (E.U., Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein)

Then apply now for one of our available co-op placements or submit a spontaneous application.

After their placement ends, Arkema hires 60% of co-op participants under permanent contracts. They’re key talents, trained in an intensely enriching multicultural environment.

The Advantages of International Co-op Placements

Flexible placement lengths, ranging from 6 to 24 months
Placement lengths can be tailored to individual needs or preferences, easing young volunteers’ transition to the working world. Placements may be renewed once, but cannot exceed a total of 24 months.

Protected status Participants with co-op placements outside France enjoy protected status.

  • They are placed under the authority of the French Embassy while abroad.
  • They receive net monthly compensation ranging from €1067.14 to €3048.98, depending on the country.
  • They and their dependents are eligible for standard health insurance and maternity, disability, death and civil liability benefits.

A VIE co-op placement is considered equivalent to one insurance period for the purpose of determining start date and accrued retirement benefits under the first basic pension plan that participants join after completing their placement.
