Eager to publicize its contribution to scientific and technological progress, Arkema is taking up educational projects themed around innovation.
A global chemical company and France’s leading chemicals producer, Arkema places innovation at the heart of its development strategy in the knowledge that the chemical industry is capable of providing innovative solutions, in particular in the field of new materials, products and processes derived from renewable raw materials, and of new energies. Quite naturally, therefore, the Group has become closely involved in two major projects in France, the refurbishment of a new permanent area devoted to "Learning about matter and energy" at the Palais de la découverte in Paris, and the creation of Fondation ENSIC designed to assist engineering students who encounter financial problems during their university education.
These projects complement the missions of the Arkema Inc. Foundation in the United States.
Arkema’s sponsorship actions focus above all on projects that combine innovation and solidarity within a sustainable and responsible development approach. Since its creation, Arkema has indeed always favored openness and proximity with the outside world, with the aim of furthering the understanding of the world of chemistry, all too often misunderstood by the general public. Arkema also aims to strengthen its links with academic research, in particular by promoting student access to scientific courses.
