Red Cross partnership

 

With its concerted commitment, alongside the French Red Cross, to dispense first-aid training, Arkema confirms its desire to play a role in society at large.

 

The originality of the partnership between Arkema and the French Red Cross lies in the training being dispensed outside the Company, i.e. to people living near its industrial facilities, schools and associations, as well as to Arkema employees.

The objective of this partnership, in keeping with the Company’s Common Ground® initiative, consists in reaching out to some 5,000 people living around the industrial sites of Arkema and its subsidiaries in France.

With fewer than 10 % of the country’s population trained in first-aid, France lags behind most other European Union countries in this regard.

 

Doubling the number of individuals trained in first-aid would help save some 10,000 lives every year !
