Ongoing exchanges and dialog – ensuring quality labor relations

Peaceful labor relations in a company encourage its success and growth. This is why the Arkema group is committed to constantly listening to its employees and to establishing a dialog.

The Arkema group seeks to promote ongoing exchanges and social dialog through all available means. 

  • directly, through internal surveys,
  • in each entity, through the personnel representatives, in compliance with local legislation,
  • at a European level, through the European Group Committee. This group is composed of 27 personnel representatives from different countries. It meets once a year to examine various issues related to the Group’s activities, the financial situation, the HR, environmental and social policies, etc. A liaison team from this Committee meets the senior management once every six months.

An assembly of personnel representatives in China

In those countries where the legislation does not require personnel representatives, bodies composed of elected members were created.

As a result, the first assembly of personnel representatives of Arkema China Investment – the Group’s main facility in China – was held for the first time in January 2008. This body is composed of 30 members. It is responsible for salary negotiations and also deals with safety and training matters.
